Hoffmann Brothers Holdings is a family-owned investment and management company.
We have a demonstrated track record of identifying and implementing industry-leading best-practices within our businesses which has resulted in tremendous value creation for both our business and our team members. We believe in investing in our future, and that future includes the addition of new businesses to the Hoffmann Brothers family.
For over 40 years, Hoffmann Brothers has been providing mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services to both residential and commercial customers. From individual homeowners to industrial manufacturing facilities, our team members have the necessary expertise, training, and tools to deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Robert Hoffmann, PE
Robert is the Founder & CEO at Hoffmann Brothers. He acquired Linton Heating & Cooling back on 1988 and incorporated Hoffmann Brothers at that time. Since the company’s founding, Hoffmann Brothers has grown from 4 team members to over 150 team members. Robert holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Missouri School of Science and Technology, and subsequently earned his Professional Engineers (P.E.) License. Prior to founding Hoffmann Brothers, Robert held engineering management positions for both Proctor & Gamble and Anheuser Busch. Under Robert’s stewardship, Hoffmann Brothers continues to grow and evolve into one of the nation’s leading service contractors!

Chris Hoffmann
Chris currently serves as our President at Hoffmann Brothers. Prior to joining Hoffmann Brothers, Chris served as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps and subsequently worked for a national financial institution supporting corporate banking clients. Chris holds a B.S. in Economics from Saint Louis University, an MBA from Washington University’s Olin School of Business, and an MLS from Washington University School of Law. Chris is very passionate about and proud to support veterans’ organizations, animal rescue organizations and children’s organizations to include Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Eastern Missouri, Stray Rescue of St Louis, and the Semper Fi Fund of Missouri. He currently lives in Saint Louis with his wife, Teresa, his daughter, Penelope, and dog named Bear.

Joe Hoffmann, PE
Joe currently leads our Sales & Project Management Teams here at Hoffmann Brothers. Joe graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri at Columbia and subsequently earned his Professional Engineers (P.E.) License. Upon graduation, Joe began his career as a Sales Engineer for a large mechanical OEM specializing in Commercial Controls. Under Joe’s leadership, Hoffmann Brothers’ sales and project management organization has grown over 30% each year since 2015.

Katie Amsbury
Katie Amsbury is the Chief Financial Officer at Hoffmann Brothers. She attended the University of Illinois for her Accounting undergraduate and graduate degrees. After graduation, Katie obtained her Certified Public Accountant license which has been active since 2010. Katie began her career within the Audit practice at Ernst & Young LLP in St. Louis, Missouri. Her audit experience includes multi-year engagements for both public and private companies. In 2014, Katie joined Hoffmann Brothers as the company’s controller, and is responsible for financial reporting, inventory control, accounting, human resources, accounts receivables and accounts payables. Katie has implemented the accounting systems and process which are in-place today, and has been instrumental in developing and implementing internal pricing tools, job costing tools, and tracking key performance indicators.

Angela Caputa
Angela is the Chief Marketing Officer at Hoffmann Brothers. She is responsible for all marketing programs, brand management, communications, and designs. Angela graduated from the University of Missouri Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing. Angela has been with Hoffmann Brothers since 2008. She has helped grow the company from a single line of business, Heating & Air Conditioning, into a full home service provider by launching 5 new lines of business within the company. Angela continues to achieve industry-leading returns on her marketing efforts, generating organic year-over-year revenue growth in excess of 30% while concurrently spending less than 4% of revenues of marketing. Angela and her marketing team at Hoffmann Brothers received the Suzi Marketing Award from a prominent industry best-practices group, Nexstar Network, in 2018.

Michael Barth
Michael is the Vice President of Market Expansion at Hoffmann Brothers. He started his professional career at Missouri Plumbing Contractors focusing on custom homes and underground utilities. In 2015, Michael joined Hoffmann Brothers, and helped grow our St. Louis plumbing department from 10 to over 60 team members. He has been on the forefront of launching new services and training programs at Hoffmann Brothers, to include trenchless sewer rehabilitation. Michael is currently responsible for our Tennessee organization’s growth and expansion. He lead the efforts in launching our Nashville location in 2020 and has grown our Nashville team over 200% in the first 12 months. Michael’s role allows him to relocate to each new market and ensure a successful launch.

Kelley Putnam
Kelley Putnam is the Chief Human Resources Officer at Hoffmann Brothers. She is responsible for leading HR, Safety and Hoffmann Brothers University. Kelley joined Hoffmann Brothers in 2021 and launched our Hoffmann Brothers Purpose and Values and Leadership Foundation along with strategic technology advances to enable our growth plans of over 30% each year.
Kelley has over 20 years of general management, HR, communication, learning and organizational development and training experience, covering industries as diverse as commercial refrigeration, manufacturing, healthcare, and software solutions. Her experiences crosses large multi-national organizations in both private equity and publicly traded organizations and has been focused on dynamically growing organizations and leading strategic change. Kelley received her BA from University of Missouri.

Michael Tessier
Michael Tessier joined Hoffmann Brothers in 2022 as the Vice President of Finance & Accounting. He is responsible for the company’s financial functions, including accounting, audit, treasury, and corporate finance. Michael brings more than 15 years of varied experience in financial management, corporate strategy, and business leadership. Before joining Hoffmann Brothers, Michael served as the CFO at Urban Chestnut Brewing Company, a Regional Craft brewery. Before that, Michael began his career in the Treasury group at Merit Energy Company in Dallas, Texas, and subsequently worked for a lower middle market growth buyout firm, helping invest, partner, and grow Midwest-based businesses. He holds a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in Finance from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business and an MBA from Washington University’s Olin School of Business.
